Welcome to The Dutch Minds, an inclusive platform that offers online Dutch language courses. These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website and enrollment in our programs. Your access to the Site or registration for any course indicates your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree, then do not use these services.
At The Dutch Minds, we are dedicated to providing a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning experience for everyone.
1.1 We are a non-political, non-religious, and strictly anti-racist association. The Dutch Minds is open to all students, irrespective of race, religion, sexuality, nationality, or belief. This site is not for preaching beliefs and ideas down the throats of others, but as a place to learn.
1.2 All students and teachers are entitled to a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. As such, fighting, cussing, verbal abuse, and racism are not permitted. Everyone is to be treated with respect, other participants and instructors. Mocking, laughing, or teasing another learner for their errors is forbidden; we are all here to learn, together. Any disruptive students can be removed from the course without a refund.
2. Course Structure and Schedule
2.1 We offer online group Dutch language classes on a third-party digital platform that are held 2 or 3 days a week for 90 minutes or 120 minutes, respectively, depending on factors like batch, instructor availability, and others.
2.2 Our courses are conducted exclusively through live, interactive online sessions. We do not provide pre-recorded lectures as part of our standard curriculum. To protect intellectual property rights and maintain class integrity, students are expressly prohibited from recording any portion of our live sessions. In case a student misses the class, a recording of the lesson will be provided.
2.3 The course durations are as follows:
A1 Level – 8 weeks
A2 Level – 8 weeks
B1 Level – 4 months
B2 Level – 6 months
2.4 The course completion certificate will be granted to students with a minimum of 80% attendance of classes.
3. Language Policy in Online Class
During our online sessions, we only use Dutch and English as teaching and communication languages. Use of any mother tongue or native language is not allowed in the classroom. We give equal learning opportunities to all, regardless of their native language.
4. Study Materials and Resources
A hard-bound book is couriered to each student at their residential address. The cost of this service is included in the tuition fee, and no additional payment will be required for this service.
5. Post-Course Support
No translation or interpretation support (e.g., reading government forms, product information, legal documents, etc.) is provided by The Dutch Minds after the course. We must ensure you with comprehensive language training throughout the claim period.
6. Enrolment, Payments, and Fees
Acceptance of registration is completed upon full payment of the course fee. We do not accept fees in installments. Tuition fees for courses are to be paid in advance; no refunds are offered for missed classes in accordance with our refund policy. We reserve the right to update fees or course schedules at any time. Students are required to go through the course contents before registration.
7. Conduct During Classes
7.1 All the enrolled students are expected to:
7.1.1 Attend the session on time and maintain punctuality and discipline
7.1.2 Always keep your camera on unless instructed or permitted
7.1.3 Engage in classes actively and respectfully
7.1.4 Avoid interrupting the flow of the class
7.1.5 Avoid side conversations or multitasking
7.2 The instructor has the authority to mute, remove, or permanently expel any student who goes against the code of conduct.
8. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for having a good internet connection, a working device with a camera and microphone, and basic skills with video-conferencing tools. The Dutch Minds is not responsible for any technical failure on the student’s part, and does not guarantee a refund in the case of hardware failure or connectivity issues during a lesson.
9. Intellectual Property
All course material, such as lesson plans, videos, handouts, presentations, exercises, and recordings, belongs to The Dutch Minds. The content of these resources is provided for general information and educational purposes only. No part may be copied, shared, distributed, or otherwise reprinted without written permission. Unauthorized use may lead to legal action.
10. Social Media Policy
10.1 We can share our class experiences, anonymous feedback, and visuals for marketing on social media. We would never release personal information or videos publicly without consent.
10.2 Students who interact on our social media accounts should:
10.2.1 Follow respectful digital etiquette
10.2.2 Do not share private communication or class material
10.2.3 Do not request personal services or any other unrelated promotions
11. Limitation of Liability
The Dutch Minds is committed to providing a high-quality educational experience. But we do not guarantee specific results or proficiency levels. How fast you’ll progress will depend on how much you practice, train, and participate. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from participation in a course, including connectivity issues, dissatisfaction with the course experience, or delays due to external factors. Our responsibility is restricted to the cost of the course fee paid.
12. Amendments to Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will keep you updated about these changes on our website. Your continued use of our services is subject to the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
